(Skip this section if you already know all about RSS)
You may have seen buttons saying “RSS” all over the Internet. Did you wonder what they are?
“RSS” stands for “Really Simple Syndication.” When you subscribe to a site’s RSS feed, anything published on that feed is sent directly to you. No need to go out and check for updates all the time. No need to wait for emails!
How do you get started? Simple!
Download a free RSS Reader first. This is special software that reads the RSS feeds…
Windows — RssReader
http://www.rssreader.com/
Mac — NetNewsWire
http://ranchero.com/netnewswire/
Once you have set them up, all you have to do is…
Right-click (control-click for Mac users) on any RSS button on a site, news source or blog of interest to you.
Then choose Copy Shortcut (”Copy Link to Clipboard” for Mac, “Copy Link Location” for Firefox browsers), and paste that URL into your RSS Reader.
Thats all there is to it! You've subscribed!
Feeds available from The Wedding Wizards
Right click on the RSS button and choose "Copy Shortcut" to link the feed to your favorite feed reader or use the content in that feed on your own website.
Above are feeds that stand ready for you to use. If you want to create your own feed to match any keyword likely to turn up in posts made here, just type a keyword or phrase below and you will have a totally unique RSS feed to post on your site!
CREATE YOUR OWN FEED!
EXAMPLE: Say you want a feed from The Wedding Wizards that includes any post that mentions "Wedding Cakes" Just type Wedding Cakes into the box above and a page full of XML gibberish will appear. Just copy the url of that page (the bit starting http in the top box) and add it to your favorite reader.
Not only will you get this feed and all the items that are CURRENTLY at The Wedding Wizards, but every time I post in the future about Wedding Cakes, the feed will automatically update, just like regular feeds do!
