Planning a Wedding

Bride Planning WeddingYour is approaching. It is getting closer to the big day…are you prepared for your wedding countdown? Relax! Help is just an organized list away. One of the biggest challenges plaguing brides to be is the organization of the planning. That’s right—the organization of the planning. The planning of the wedding itself (though tiresome, emotionally draining and expensive) is not actually hard. It is the organization of these actions. If you do not have a wedding consultant, what is a bride to do?

Organize yourself
Keep all wedding information, phone numbers, contact lists, etc. in one location. The last thing you will need is to lose important information. Many retail stores actually sell books and folders for wedding planning. Use them!

Create a
The year before the wedding has a milestone every few months (and every month, as it gets closer) in which certain things need to be completed or followed. You can use a wedding planner with a pre-printed checklist for you to follow. You can also create your own, or simply add to the current list.
It is recommend to make an actual list of every detail for the wedding. This may seem too detailed, however you are better off having to check off tasks you have completed, versus trying to quickly complete tasks for which you are not prepared.

Buy a wedding calendar
It is essential to plot your related activities (this includes phone calls, appointments, etc.). It is best to have a separate calendar or day planner just for your wedding. Keeping this calendar with the rest of your information is the best place for it. In addition, the calendar will help serve as a checkpoint for you as the months and weeks draw to a close.

Keep track of your spending.
This is probably the most important and essential aspect to carefully organize, when it comes to planning your wedding. If you are not organized with your budget, you may not be organized with the services, which need to be paid for with your budget. Wedding books and planners are an excellent resource for this area.

Have a backup.
As you may already know, it is impossible to complete everything on your own. It is essential to have a close relative or friend (many times the maid of honor or another member of the bridal party) aware of your plans.
