Four Key Decisions to make are….
Where will your wedding be held? Ceremony locations and reception halls can get booked up pretty fast, especially during prime wedding mouths. You'll need to find locations, sign contracts, and put down deposits between 10 to 12 months in advance at a minimum.
What will you all wear? You'll want to begin looking at clothing for the big event. Obviously, the wedding dress
is going to be a very important purchase. Because the dress will probably need to go through a series of alterations, you should choose one you love as soon as you can.
Where will you hold the reception? More than half of your wedding budget is going to be spent on throwing the largest party of your lives, so start planning early. You'll need to choose a caterer, rent tables and supplies, find entertainment, decide on a decorative theme, and purchase a delicious wedding cake.
Finally, when the great day is over where will you honeymoon? How will you put together the plans for the after-party, also known as the honeymoon. Decide on a location and start booking your trip. If your budget is tight, you can always ask for money in lieu of wedding gifts to help you cover the costs of the special trip you want.
And not to forget….
You'll also need to think about transportation, flowers, rings, officiants, invitations, seating charts, wedding party gifts, and more.
