Here are some tips for finding the right words, including some pre-written sayings that can fill your with heart and humor.

The Personal Side
There is no miracle advice for extracting the personal parts of your best man speech. Everyone’s history is different, so instead it is good to ask yourself some questions in order to put together the best wedding toast possible. How long have you known the groom? The bride? What are some of your best memories together? Were you around when the groom first met the bride? What was the moment you knew the bride and groom were destined to be together?
Other Sayings
Still not sure about how to fill your best man speech or toast? Or maybe you just need help getting it started or ending the toast. Here are some special sayings to add to your wedding speech or toast that can help tie everything you have to say together:

Here's to the groom, a man who kept his head even while he lost his heart.

Here's to the new husband, and here's to the new wife, may they remain lovers, for all of life.

Let your love endure beyond the last sunset.

May thy life be long and happy,
Thy cares and sorrows few;
And the many friends around thee
Prove faithful, fond and true.

Here's to a sweetheart, a bottle, and a friend.
The first beautiful, the second full, the last ever faithful

May the joys you share today be the beginning of a lifetime of great happiness and fulfillment

May you be friends to each other as only lovers can; and may you love each other as only best friends can.

May you have love, health & wealth; but most importantly, may you have the time to enjoy them all.

(An old Irish saying)
May the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind be ever at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rain fall soft upon your fields,
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.
And may you be in Heaven
a half hour before the devil knows you're dead."

My Greatest wish for the two of you is that through the years your love for each other will so deepen and grow, that years from now you will look back on this day, your wedding day, as the day you loved each other the least.

To the lamp of love - may it burn brightest in the darkest hours and never flicker in the winds of trial.

Happy marriages begin when we marry the one we love, and they blossom when we love the one we married.

The most precious possession that ever comes to a man in this world is a woman's heart.

(Groom), take (Bride)'s hand and place your hand over hers. Now, remember this moment and cherish it… because this will be the last time you'll ever have the upper hand!"

Here's to health and prosperity,
To you and all your posterity.
And them that doesn't drink with sincerity,
That they may be damned for all eternity!

The trouble with being the best+man" rel="tag">best man at a wedding is that you never get to prove it.
